Helpful Update from ncdhd.org for all Food Vendors:
-
Food/beverage vendors with a current Mobile food license or a current Catering license from NCDHD do not have to file an application with NCDHD however they do have to notify NCDHD that they will be vending at this event. Deadline to notify NCDHD is August 25, 2023.
-
For food/beverage vendors not currently licensed by NCDHD, a temporary event application and fee is required. The fee schedule includes for profit food vendors and non-profit food vendors; the for-profit permit fee is $100.00; the non-profit fee will be $50.00 as the event will be inspected. Both the application and fee must be filed with NCDHD on or before August 25, 2023. The Temporary Event application is on our webpage www.ncdhd.org under FORMS, then scroll to Foodservice. The application and fee can be mailed to our Enfield office OR scanned to tjordan@ncdhd.org and payment made by phone to our Enfield office (860-745-0383)- ask for Tamika. Our office is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday.
If the application is postmarked or received after August 25, 2023 there will be a late fee of $50.00.
We welcome applications as early as possible; this helps us plan for vendor consults and inspection coverage for the event. -
If a participant has a current Cottage Food license from CT-DCP, and they plan to sell the approved food items as individual portions or offer samples to the public during the event, a temporary permit is required. The same application, copy of their current CT-DCP license and fee will be required.

Please contact Debbie Caronna, dcaronna@ncdhd.org or Tina Downes, cdownes@ncdhd.org for additional information or to answer questions about the temporary permit application process: NCDHD, 860-745-0383
